Beginning therapy with a stranger can be daunting, but immensely rewarding. There is enormous opportunity to improve your life by understanding how the past has affected your current perceptions, thoughts, feelings, and actions. There is no reason to compromise your potential in any way, or to settle for pain, frustration, lack of direction, self-doubt, disappointment, or mediocrity. The most important ingredient for successful therapy is the therapeutic relationship. The best way to choose the right therapist is to trust your instinct, which is why I encourage you to come in for a consultation.

I have an eclectic, psychodynamic approach informed by a variety of theoretical orientations. I have an individualized style based upon a combination of what I believe will work best for each client and upon the client's preferences. I speak Spanish, French and German.

I have a BA in Psychology from Dartmouth College, Phi Beta Kappa. I was a professor of psychology at a university in Madrid, where I also had a private practice. I am constantly deepening my clinical skills through on-going training, individual and group supervision, and individual and group therapy.
